There is a tendency in consultancy to over-complicate. To produce lengthy reports that sit on shelves, or to recommend wholesale change when targeted improvement would serve better. We take a different view.

Established businesses have history, relationships and ways of working that matter. Our role is not to arrive with a predetermined framework and apply it regardless of context. It is to understand your specific situation, identify what genuinely needs attention, and offer recommendations that are realistic, proportionate and actionable.

We work with businesses that are already operating well in many respects — they are simply looking for a considered, independent perspective on where to focus next. That is a very different starting point from a business in crisis, and it shapes how we approach every engagement.

Sage & West is based in Manchester and works primarily with businesses across Manchester and Greater Manchester, though we are happy to discuss engagements further afield where the fit is right.
